Ever thought ‘I want to know how that was made’? Or have noticed video content is everywhere but don’t know where to start with making it? Or simply know what you want to create but don’t know how to do it? Capture Your Content is your hands-on video bootcamp that will help get you to where you want to go.

Run by social and Youtube hairdressing creator @mikedecanter, this course is about practising capturing content and having a framework for what you are trying to achieve. This isn’t a social media course. You will not be learning about publishing for platforms, instead how to create the content itself. It starts with deep diving into what you are trying to achieve. Do you want to get more clients? Or pivot your business? Or be revered by other hairdressers? Then thinking about different ways you can package that up as video content whether that is a reel or Tiktok. Mike will share with some ideas and help you make a plan. Then you have a chance to practise using your phone and making content. You will be paired with a model to do some hair and to explore creation just like you would if you were on the salon floor. Mike will help coach and support you to capture, then move on to having a play with editing or putting together what you have just done.

A smart thinking mentality where you can get more out of what you do is Mike’s mantra. Day-to-day you can’t capture content from every client, nor might you not want to. But you can pick what you known for and make that work for you. Learn how to capture your content and be on the road to where you want to go.

Notes: 

Bring your phone and a charger! You will be using it throughout the day.

Model: Models will be cut or styling only (no colour work) and pairings will be discussed on the day to match individuals and creation goals.
