What is this course?

Dimensional Colour is an advanced hair colour education course focused on creating depth, movement and multi-tonal results using professional salon colour techniques. This hairdressing training course teaches experienced colourists how to master dimensional colour placement, blending, and toning for modern, salon-ready results. Designed as an advanced colour education experience by Matrix, this course helps elevate technical skill, product choice and creative confidence behind the chair.

The course focuses on strategic shade placement, seamless blending, and refined toning to create bespoke colour results tailored to every client. You will learn how to use colour to enhance facial features, add movement, and deliver sophisticated, trend-led dimensional colour services that increase salon service value and productivity.

Learning Style:

This is an immersive, face-to-face, hands-on hairdressing course with expert demonstrations, guided practical work, and personalised coaching in a supportive learning environment.

What do I bring?

Please bring your full hairdressing kit, including all necessary tools for colour services. You are also required to bring a real, live model who is happy to receive a dimensional colour service (no previous colour correction) and has undergone a skin test following the Matrix AAT guidelines.
